The service and its limits

ContractorArea organizes contractor license records, available company certifications and supporting source evidence for business research and estimating workflows. Coverage varies by state and source. A license record is not necessarily a unique company.

Data reflects the source and collection date shown. Records can be incomplete, outdated or incorrectly matched. A missing certification does not mean that a company is uncertified. Verify current licensing, insurance, certifications and suitability directly with the issuing authority or contractor before making decisions. ContractorArea is not an issuing authority and does not endorse listed businesses.

Accounts and trial access

Use accurate account information and protect your sign-in credentials and personal invitation links. A personal trial link may provide direct access; do not publish or forward it without permission. Trial duration, permitted states and record limits are those assigned to your invitation or displayed in the service. Trial access is for evaluation and is not a promise of unrestricted or permanent access.

Any paid access, pricing and additional usage rights require a separate offer or agreement. Opening a trial does not itself authorize a charge.

Permitted use

You may use the records available within your access permissions for lawful business research and project estimating. Do not bypass record limits, access restrictions or security controls; impersonate another user; interfere with the service; or redistribute access credentials. Bulk extraction, resale or republication beyond your agreed access requires our permission and any permissions required by the source.

Public availability does not remove privacy obligations or third-party rights. Do not use the service for unlawful discrimination, harassment, or employment, credit, housing or insurance eligibility decisions.

Uploaded files and enrichment

Upload only information you are entitled to provide and process. Do not upload passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive personal data. You retain your rights in your uploaded material and authorize us to process it to perform the requested service. Enrichment and matching results require your review; they are not guarantees of identity, accuracy or completeness.

Sources and intellectual property

Our software, design and original materials remain ours or our licensors’. Third-party records and documents retain their applicable rights and source conditions. These terms do not claim ownership of public records or grant rights we do not hold. Source links may lead to services with their own terms and privacy policies.

Availability and responsibility

Features, coverage and sources may change. We may restrict access to address misuse, security risks or material breaches of these terms. The service is provided as available, without a guarantee that it is uninterrupted or suitable for every project. Nothing here excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or overrides an applicable signed agreement.
